Along the Scroll

A Spatial Installation of The Scroll.

Koganecho Area Management Center, Yokohama, Japan (2026)

Curated by Elena Aframova - in this installation the Scroll unfolded through The Room in Yokohama’s Koganecho district. Across its three narrow floors, The Scroll moved from transport boxes, through a working studio, to a room where visitors could handle the work over tea and conversation. The exhibition gradually became a social space. During evening viewings, visitors were given individual lights, which changed the reflections of the pigment bound on the paper’s surface.
