“PROTOTIP”

PROTOTIP is a temporary installation of the “Institution Segment” etchings of the Scroll. Begun in 2024, this segment of the Scroll uses as its reference point institutions: churches, museums of art and natural history, as well as botanic gardens and zoos. I am interested in how the material artifact or object can act as a vessel for the immaterial: beauty, myth, or truth.

The work is composed entirely out of paper - frames are printed in aquatint and folded to fit individual prints.
